someday i'm going to have a darkroom and studio, and it is a moral imperative that you come and play in it.  there's nothing nicer than going into a darkroom in the afternoon, and then walking home and realizing you're watching the sun come up.  time-sinker like crazy.</description>

		<description>I love the dark.  I haven't been able to play in the dark for years; when I was in college, I worked part-time at a studio, and was on the yearbook/newspaper staff at the same time.  There would be days when I would spend 12 hours in the dark, nothing but me and the images.

It's like magic.  I loved developing my own film, my own pictures.  I loved all the different kinds of papers, the effects I could create in the dark.  I even learned how to retouch negatives (not for the faint of heart, or the shaky of hand) and was a master at the old dodge and burn.

You are so lucky...
