The Dead Rise Again
As I have free time today, I’ll update everyone on what’s new now.
Since I graduated in early June, I have been doing a graphic arts internship with A Big Government Place. It’s pretty nice. My boss loves me, and I get lots of good advice and feedback from the older designers who teach me. Unfortunately, the internship is almost out, so I need to find a new job.
Luckily BGP is helping me find another place as a junior graphic designer, but really, my hearts in one of two places: either an internship at Living Dead Tattoo, or a job at my local comic shop. As good as BGP has been to me the last four weeks, I have to drive a long way to get here in Las Vegas traffic, and the temp agency that put me here is paying me minimum wage. Not to mention, I’m horrible when it comes to financing and can’t seem to save for crap. (Been forcing myself to bring lunch from home when possible and eating items off the dollar menu, on top of choosing water in lieu of soda. It’s… an interesting transition for me, to say the least.)
But, as luck would have it, not everything that glitters is gold. Er… or something of that nature. Because last night (Sunday, August 2) I got to participate in probably the most fun free show I’ve ever had the pleasure to do. Robot Chicken on Wheels tour was a f’n BLAST. Free show, free skating, lots of hot derby chicks, and of course…

Seth Green.
If you don’t know, he’s the main man behind Robot Chicken. He does other stuff, like the voice of Chris from Family Guy. But mainly, he’s just adorable. He’s about 3 feet tall, (he has to wear stilts to look normal in public) and contrary to popular belief he’s about as docile as a basket of puppies in a field of ganja.
SO THAT’S THAT. In short, if the tour is coming to your town, definitely go. It’s worth every minute in line you’d spend, ’cause you won’t spend anything else!
